The main concerns and challenges of raising silkworms include economic value, mulberry management, biodiversity conservation genetic resources, developing highly productive breeds for variety. This study investigated the relationship between relevance products generated throughout value chain, limitations, opportunities to generate incomes sericulture farmers, trends, perspectives worldwide, particularly in Romania. Seventy-seven publications were considered from online databases. diversification at each level chain silkworm rearing their multipurpose applications impact social life. Hence, silk is well known as a valuable biomaterial industry, suitable textile medicine. There are several arguments use human food even though they not yet authorized edible insects European level.
